Wraparound childcare

Our Breakfast Club provides a welcoming and supportive environment for children before the school day begins. It starts at 8:10 AM and runs for 30 minutes, allowing children to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and prepare for a successful day of learning.  A voluntary contribution of 50p per day is required, for families who will struggle with this please speak to Mrs Chatterjee.

The benefits of attending Breakfast club are:

  • Nutritious Breakfast: Children receive a healthy breakfast, which is essential for their physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Ready to Learn: A good breakfast helps improve concentration and readiness for the school day, enhancing overall academic performance.
  • Social Interaction: The club provides an opportunity for children to socialise with peers, fostering friendships and a sense of community.
  • Routine Establishment: Attending Breakfast Club helps children develop a consistent morning routine, promoting punctuality and responsibility.

Families who require childcare AFTER school can arrange for staff at Heywood Children’s Centre (at the bottom of the school building, in the park) to collect children on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.  They are open from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.  More information can be found here.
