Welcome to 2J
Our school start time is 8.40 and the gates will be closed at 8.45. Please ensure you come to school on time.
Please bring a water bottle, high-viz jackets and a coat (weather permitting) to school every day.
It is very important to read at home with your children and this will really help their progress. Please read at home at least 3 times a week and sign your child’s diary. Please help your children bring their diary and reading book to school every day.
PE is on a Tuesday, please make sure your child has their PE kit in school.
All homework is set online and will be checked every Wednesday. Please complete three pieces of homework a week. This includes one piece of maths (my maths or TTrockstars), reading comprehension (reading eggs) and practice their spellings (spelling shed).
All the children’s passwords can be found in their diary.
2J’s charity is Breaking Barriers North West, a charity for disabled children, young people and their families.
Breaking Barriers NW is a charity originally founded by 3 parents of disabled children and now managed by one of the parents with the help of a team of volunteers.
It aims to:
- Support & reassure with a listening ear
- Promote, improve & advance the emotional wellbeing of Parents, Carers & Families of disabled children & young people aged 0-25 years old and adults
- Promote equality of opportunity for all sectors of the Community
- Signpost Parents & Carers to relevant local Services
Breaking Barriers also supports Adults with Autism by facilitating a monthly support group called ABAG – Adult Bolton Autism Group.
This year 2J will be raising as much money as possible to help support Breaking Barriers North West. This will be through enterprise week, cake sales and other fantastic fund raising opportunities. As a school, we have already raised a massive £248 through the school raffle that took place during our Christmas week.
