Welcome to the Year 5 blog! What an exciting year ahead we have! Back to some sort of normality. Please read the important information on this page and click on the news post at the bottom of the page to see our wonderful learning activities and experiences.
Please ensure your child wears full school uniform now including black shoes except on Wednesday, which is their PE day. They must come to school in their PE kit on this day. Hi-Viz jackets MUST be worn every day as part of our school uniform. Buy one at the office if your child does not have one. Hi-Viz jacket, water bottles and book bags should be brought to school every day.
All homework will be collected Monday and handed back Tuesday. Children are free to complete homework on seesaw or in their homework.
Spelling test: Monday
Please make sure your child learns their 17 spellings each week using spelling shed or the list in their book.
If your child needs to isolate due to covid, work will be provided on seesaw immediately. All children have been provided with a new log in for this year.
If you would like your child to walk home alone, please complete the parent permission form at the office.

For our Good To Be Green Reward this Spring half term, our children enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to meet, touch and hold some creepy crawlies from all over the world!
A huge thank you to our amazing litter pickers, who have helped Mrs Stone all week to keep our school clean and tidy! Next week we might be venturing outside the school gates, to help clean up the local community.
