Inclusive Mainstream Schools Fund (IMSF)
The Inclusive Mainstream Schools Fund (IMSF) provides additional funding to schools to help support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who require extra provision to access learning and thrive in a mainstream setting. The fund enables schools to put in place targeted support, interventions, specialist resources, staff training, and adapted learning opportunities that remove barriers to learning and promote inclusion. Through the use of IMSF funding, we are able to enhance the support available for individual children, helping them to make progress, develop independence, and fully participate in school life alongside their peers.
This funding is used in addition to the school’s existing SEND budget and is allocated to support children whose needs are significant but can be effectively met within a mainstream school environment.
