Welcome to our Forest Schools Blog! Take a look at the latest updates below…
Forest School is a fun way of learning outdoors, where nature becomes our classroom!
During our Forest School lessons, you get to follow your own interests and curiosity. You might discover an interesting bug, build a den, climb a tree, collect leaves, or investigate something you have never seen before. Your ideas and discoveries help shape what you learn.
You will work with Mrs Wailles in all of your Forest School lessons. You’ll get to spend time in our Forest School, school garden and allotment over the course of the year. This means you can return to the same outdoor space and notice how it changes through the seasons.
Forest School will help you learn in lots of different ways. You will become more confident, independent, resilient and creative, while developing how to work and communicate with others.
You will also have chances to take safe risks and solve problems. For example, you use a tool with an adult’s support, or work out how to build a shelter. These challenges help you learn how to make decisions, keep trying and believe in yourself.
