Welcome to the Year 5 blog! What an exciting year ahead we have! Please read the important information on this page and click on the news post at the bottom of the page to see our wonderful learning activities and experiences.
Uniform
Please ensure your child wears the full school uniform now, including black shoes. Children must bring their PE kit to school on a Monday (indoor and outdoor kit). Hi-Viz jackets MUST be worn every day as part of our school uniform. You can buy one at the office if your child does not have one. Hi-Viz jacket, water bottles and book bags with their diary and reading book should be brought to school every day. Please remember to label all items of clothing and personal belongings with your child’s name.
Homework: Friday
All homework will be checked on Monday. Children are expected to complete maths and grammar on Mirodo, learn their spellings on Spelling Shed, read three times a week and record this in their diary using the sentence stems in their diary.
Spelling test: Monday
Please make sure your child learns their spellings each week using Spelling Shed.
Home time
If you would like your child to walk home alone, please complete the parent permission form on the Parentsapp.
Ensure you are checking the parent app regularly for the latest school updates.
